Mr. Biswal is a retired officer from Odisha Administrative Services (OAS), who
worked as Additional Secretary, Government of Odisha. He has vast experience in
grassroots administration and was a member of think tanks in Odisha State
Secretariat. He has contributed a lot to the Odisha government in developing the
administrative structure, policies and in taking reformative steps. He has
received high appreciations in various forums.
At present as Director of Civil Services Training Programs he is heading
various activities in Vikash Educational Charitable Trust. He takes overall
responsibility of preparing youth for Civil Services and mentors each one of
them personally. Apart from this, he is involved in many other social works and
is associated with the administration of many religious places. He is humble,
friendly, enthusiastic, far-sighted and strategic in intervention approaches. He
loves to watch cricket, make new friendship, visiting new places and reading
etc.
Engineer Nanda is the former Superintending Engineer of Water Resources
Department, Government of Odisha. After completing B.Sc (Civil Engineering) from
Utkal University College of Engineering, Burla in 1964, he joined in the
irrigation department, Government of Odisha as Assistant Engineer. He has worked
in various places of Odisha handling different responsibilities in Government of
Odisha during his career. He has also worked in Hydro-Electric project, Balimela
and Upper Colab. He got retired in 1998. He has substantial experience in
execution of projects and in the administration.
He is a spiritual person who loves meditation and worship and has been strong
instrumental in constructing four number of temples for the public worship. He
is long associated with Vikash in youth counselling, mentoring and providing
guidance. He visits colleges, explains each scholarship scheme and eligibility
criteria for the students, collects their applications and verifies their
applications forms before approving them. Since 2001, he is associated with
Vikash Educational Charitable Trust and presently he is working as Director,
Scholarship Programs for the Trust. Apart from this he handles the Facilitator
responsibility for the Foundation For Excellence (FFE) as well as State
Coordinator for North South Foundation (NSF) scholarships. He is the backbone of
Scholarship Programs of VECT.
He is fond of cricket and enjoys listening to the live cricket commentary. Also
he is a loving, compassionate and dedicated worker who loves to support and
nurture the needy and bright students.
Mr. Patnaik is a retired officer of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) of Customs and
Central Excise. He has served as Chief Commissioner of Central Excise and GST,
Bhubaneswar and then served as Vice Chairman in Settlement Commission of Customs
and Central Excise, Kolkata. He has experience in Indirect Tax Administration
for over 35 years. During his long career he has held important posts in
Indirect Taxes, such as Commissioner of Central Excise, Bhubaneswar, Additional
Director General of Central Excise Intelligence at New Delhi and Mumbai.
Also he has worked as the Chief Commissioner of Service Tax at Mumbai. He has
many appreciations for his sincere and efficient service in this sector. He has
been awarded Presidential Award of Appreciation for 'Specially Distinguished
Record of Service'.
Currently he is working as Director for Civil Services Online Training Program
in Vikash Educational Charitable Trust. He is a loving, humble, kind-hearted
sociable person. His hobbies include taking interest in Odia literature and
culture. He is a regular writer of Odia poems those gets published in Odia
magazines and daily newspapers.
